The renowned publisher has secured a seasoned producer from Respawn Entertainment to direct the development team at 31st Union, which is currently developing the anticipated third-person roguelike extraction-shooter known as this innovative game.

Brinkman takes on the leadership position at 31st Union following the exit of previous head Michael Condrey, who was removed from his post due to Project Ethos' disappointing early showing last fall.

The player input from last autumn’s the game demo was informative. It validated the appeal of a roguelike shooter but made clear we still had improvements to make. It uncovered the need for a sharper identity.

The progress is encouraging to see how far you’ve progressed. You accepted the criticism to heart and reimagined the title with a revitalized direction - one that’s poised to fulfill its ambition to our players.

The belief in this project increases every day. To advance the incredible development you’ve made, I’m excited to welcome Ben Brinkman as the incoming Director of 31st Union. After several months of conversations, Ben comes aboard us on the specified date.

His leadership and expertise in the PVP shooter space is vast, having devoted the past decade and a half creating and managing some of the most recognizable franchises in the industry, for example the acclaimed shooter, and most recently, Apex Legends.
