According to new allegations from a informant, the convicted associate of Jeffrey Epstein, now completing a two-decade sentence for sex-trafficking crimes, is reportedly preparing a clemency request for review by the presidential administration.

Special Treatment Alleged at Federal Prison

Congressional Democrats on the House judiciary committee revealed that a source provided evidence indicating the inmate is preparing the commutation application. They also stated she has been receiving special treatment at the minimum-security facility in the Lone Star State.

Congressman Jamie Raskin, the top Democrat on the House judiciary committee, stated in a official statement that the facility's chief was “helping” Maxwell with document preparation and submission to support her bid for executive mercy.

The exact content of the “commutation application” remain unclear, Raskin added.

Alleged Privileges and Special Accommodations

Raskin states that, according to the whistleblower, the prisoner has been receiving “customized” meals that are hand-delivered to her living area, and the warden has individually organized exclusive visits for her and her guests.

The visits allegedly include a “special cordoned-off area” for visitors and a variety of food and drinks for her associates.

Maxwell’s visitors were also reportedly permitted to bring computers, which the congressman characterized as an “unprecedented action” given the potential danger and potential for unsupervised contact.

In one alleged instance, when communications failed for other inmates, Maxwell was provided directions about instructing her associates to call and how personnel would relay the call to her.

Supervisor Acting as Assistant

The whistleblower further reportedly told House Democrats that when Maxwell wanted to examine and modify papers promptly, she “essentially used” the warden as her private aide.

The statement states that Maxwell’s correspondents would send files directly to the supervisor, who would provide them to Maxwell, who would review and edit them and return them to the warden to scan and provide to the original sender.

Additional Privileges Alleged

Further perks reportedly provided to Maxwell include time to “play with” a trainee assistance dog – a benefit not “ordinarily allowed” – as well as private after-hours access to the facility's gym.

Maxwell’s attorney has not yet replied to a request for comment regarding the whistleblower’s claims.

Through a spokesperson, the presidential office said that it “does not comment” on potential clemency requests.

“Per the President's remarks, granting clemency to Ghislaine Maxwell is not something he has thought about,” the representative added.

Recent Background

Recently, reports surfaced that she told close associates in electronic messages that she was “much happier” at the new prison than her former location.

This past summer, she was transferred from a low-security prison in Tallahassee, Florida to the less restrictive prison in Texas, where most detainees are serving time for non-violent offenses and white-collar crimes.

The transfer, which authorities called as “unprecedented”, occurred just shortly following she was questioned about the Jeffrey Epstein investigation by the senior justice official, the official, who also previously served as the President's private attorney.

That interview came as the Trump administration was facing increasing scrutiny to release more documents related to the ongoing probe and amid intense speculation around Trump's own connections to the disgraced financier and convicted sex offender, who was found dead in a New York jail in 2019 while awaiting prosecution on trafficking accusations.

Lawmaker Reactions

Through the statement, Raskin also announced that he had dispatched a communication to Trump, requesting explanations about the insider's claims, and called on the president to reject Maxwell’s commutation request.

“It would be inappropriate to approve any form of clemency to this convicted and unrepentant sex offender,” Raskin wrote in the letter. “Your Administration should not be providing her with personal amenities, with puppies to play with, with government agents waiting on her every need, or with any special treatment or institutional privilege at all.”

The congressman asked that Blanche attend a open legislative session to discuss the revelations and also posed three questions to the President.

He inquired whether Trump had discussed a potential commutation for the convict with Blanche or others, whether he had directed Blanche or anyone else to provide her with the move or favorable and preferential treatment in prison, and whether she, her attorneys, family or representatives have made any promises to Trump or his attorneys.

Raskin has asked for a reply to the questions by the specified date.

Last month, the US supreme court rejected an petition from Maxwell on her sex-trafficking conviction.
